The First Phase of “CWM” Certificate Awarding Ceremony was held by SUFE QWMI

In the morning of May 6, the Certificate Awarding Ceremony for the First Phase of “International Wealth Management Qualification Authentication Class” set up cooperatively by Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) was held at SUFE QWMI.



In his address, Jiang Hui, our Executive Dean, firstly congratulated the learners who had obtained the certificate smoothly, and he said: “High quality human resource capital and sufficient talents reserve has become one of the core elements of the competitions among cities. As the chartered wealth manager (CWM) sponsored by CISI, chartered financial analyst (CFA) and other international qualification authentication have been listed as the scarce professional technical talents certification standard in Qingdao, Qingdao is bound to be able to take the lead in the ‘Era of Wealth Management 3.0’ and rank top in China in terms of international wealth management talents cultivation.”



Chen Xiaoping gave a speech at the ceremony on behalf of the learners of Phase I Class. She shared her original intention and feelings about her attending the CISI “International Wealth Management Qualification Authentication”. She said that her knowledge and skills about wealth and investment management had professionally improved after participating in the project learning.



Ken McGowan, Asia Pacific Leader of CISI and Jiang Hui, Executive Dean, firstly issued the certificate to the 22 learners having smoothly passed the Phase I of “International Wealth Management Qualification Authentication” in the Mainland China, and then mutually awarded the 3 learners having scored high in the qualification authentication examination with the Scholarship Certificate.



Afterwards, Ken McGowan, in his speech entitled “the CWM Certification System and Sustainable Vocational Development of the Members”, introduced the development history, certification system, membership system, mission, responsibility, etc. of CISI In details. He also indicated that the fact that the high pass rate of 87.5% created by the learners of SUFE QWMI far exceeded those in English countries fully reflects that the learners have an excellent wealth management foundation and make a great effort in learning, and that the instructors are professional and have a good teaching ability. “I believe that as more and more professional talents adhering to the CISI wealth management industrial standard smoothly complete the studies, the Program is bound to promote the development of Qingdao City Wealth Management Comprehensive Financial Reform Pilot Zone, greatly enhancing the development of financial industry in Qingdao.”



In his keynote speech entitled “Creating the Competitive Advantage of Wealth Management”, Huang Fan, General Manager of Private Banking Department of Bank of Ningbo and Special Lecturer of International Wealth Management Qualification Authentication explained multiple products and trends of wealth management industry, based on the current assets of domestic high net worth individuals, and by virtue of his rich industrial experience, gave the answers about “how to provide the most professional value maintenance and adding suggestions based on the assets and plans of high net worth individuals“, “how to constantly enhance my professional degree to win the customer’s trust”, etc.



Huang said: “As the scale of investable assets owned by the domestic high net worth individuals constantly increases, their most major investment and wealth management channels has also changed, and wealth protection, value adding and planning have become their most prime demands.” Huang considered that the wealth management analyst should move the customers with individualized overall financial planning, combined global investment management, rational tax avoidance planning, etc., based on the degree of decision making participation desired by the customers.
